Most commonly, when someone wants to film a restaurant scene at The Huntington, they pick a likely location and transform it into a restaurant. The Huntington and Scott Gallery Loggias are particularly good choices for this approach.

However, there ARE several spots here where food is actually served, that may, depending on schedule, be available for filming:

The Red Car – small coffee shop at the entrance, most of the seating is outside by a small, modern fountain.
1919 – the main restaurant, includes outdoor patio seating, indoor seating, and buffet stations.
Patio Grill – informal seating area near the Shakespeare Garden.
Rose Garden Tea Room – classically styled building in the Rose Garden; very difficult to schedule work inside.
Hall of the Jade Camellia – patio and indoor seating, for the adjacent Chinese Garden restaurant and, like the rest of this garden, not available during open hours.
