Australian Garden

Loading. Please wait...

A large, relatively flat green lawn is surrounded on 3 sides by tall, park-like trees. A narrow road runs along the north edge, ending in a circle at a macadamia nut tree, and above the road slope the Jungle and Subtropical Gardens.

West of the Australian lawn stretch trees, bushes and flowering plants native to Australia and New Zealand, with a particular emphasis on eucalyptus. (More about the Australian Garden.)

At the south end of the lawn, a grass covered Meander remains from an earthwork created in 1999 as part of a show at the Armory Center for the Arts.
